Benedict Cumberbatch expresses his surprise in this piece about coming seventh in the public vote of the Time 100 Poll, from zap2it.com
“Apparently I beat the leader of the free world. How do you like that? It’s ridiculous. I’m slightly flattered. It might be an alphabetical thing. It’s crazy. It’s really crazy. (A friend joked), ‘Are you running for president?’
The final TIME Top 100 of 2012 list is out. Sadly, despite placing 7th in the public vote, Benedict Cumberbatch isn’t present, with the TIME editors instead choosing Anonymous, who came top of the public vote.
(To the thousands that voted for him though, he remains number one of course!)
Time magazine launched the public vote with the aim of allowing it’s readership to choose the final member of the annual poll, alongside 99 others already chosen by the magazine’s staff and contributors.
